For the assessment, I started off creating the wound on my models head. I had previously tried out doing the base first but found that the wax and latex would slide  of  her face when there were other products underneath it. To create the wound, I used the wax to create the round and raised shape and the applied the liquid latex on top. I dried the latex using a hair dryer and used a hair pin to create little rips and holes in it, to give it more of a boiling effect.

I then applied the foundation. I used the Kryolan Foundation Palette to pale down my model and then used the translucent powder over this.

After i had my wound and base done, I started focusing on the cheeks and eyes. I used the grey from my Mac palette to contour under the cheekbones, to give my model a dramatic but also a more 'dead' look as it made her skin even paler. I used the same shade with some darker and lighter colours on the eyes to create a dark and smokey effect.

I then started colouring in the wound. I used a build up of the red shades from the Supracolour palette to make the area look sore and burnt. I then started adding hints of black and yellow to make it look dirty.

After this I started focusing on the holes and rips I had previously made in the latex, I decided before that I wanted these to be bloody so I used some fake blood and wound filler to make them look like smaller wounds in the skin.

Lastly I focused on the hair, I decided to go for a early Victorian look. I made small plaits on each side of the head and then pulled all the hair together at the back of the head and pinned it into a twist bun
